An industrial photo reportage of your teams and your production site.

As part of a project carried out for a player in the biogas and anaerobic digestion, I ensured a industrial photo reportage aiming to complete value both technical installations and human expertise on-site.
This work began with precise identification of the strategic areas of the production unit, followed by a detailed brief with the technical and HR teams in order to’identify the key processes, security constraints and operational moments to be documented.

Reportage captivant, plongée visuelle dans l'industrie verte

The production of the report then took place in the heart of the industrial environment: biomethanisation units, treatment lines, control systems and field interventions. The objective was to produce technical, clear and consistent images, whilst highlighting the essential role of the employees, engineers, operators, QHSE managers, whose expertise guarantees the performance and safety of the facilities.

Beyond the purely technical aspect, this photo report shows the importance of the human element in a sector where control, responsibility and coordination are essential. These visuals now serve to reinforce the corporate communications website, activity reports, HR communication and employer branding strategy.

Is hiring a professional photographer still a relevant strategic choice?.

Will AI replace our ability to create images as part of our assignments for companies?

In a world where corporate communication is essential and AI is redefining image creation, will our status as professional photographers be replaced in the near future? For my part, I doubt that AI will be able to travel to your businesses to produce a photo report or corporate film, support you with your communication, or offer you tailor-made advice.

Why choosing a professional remains essential:

  1. A guarantee of quality and relevance The expertise and practice of a professional photographer allow them to capture the essence of your business, your values, and your know-how, thereby strengthening your image with your clients and prospects.
  2. A bespoke collaboration Understanding your needs, showcasing your products, your environment and your teams, while working hand in hand to create visuals that reflect who you are.
  3. A unique artistic expertise AI excels in post-production, but it will never replace the sensitivity and eye of a photographer who knows how to play with light, framing and staging to reveal your company's identity and message.
  4. A personalised visual communication Investing in a professional means guaranteeing authentic visuals that are true to your brand, far from standardised solutions or impersonal image banks.
  5. A human and creative choice A photographer places humans and creativity at the heart of your communication, whereas AI remains limited and confines itself to reproducing and adapting images that have already been produced.

I am always ready to support you with your photo or video projects, to highlight your adventures, your passion and the human touch that make your business strong.

The completion of a staff directory is an excellent way to value your teams and harmonise your visual communication. Hiring a professional photographer guarantees quality portraits, suited to your internal and external communication materials. Here is how a staff photo session unfolds, from setting up a mobile studio to the final delivery of the shots.

1. Preparation and planning

Before the photo shoot, a preparation phase is essential to ensure an optimal result:

  • Requirements definition The photographer discusses the requirements with the company. The number of headshots, style (classic, modern, natural), format (web, print) and use of the photos are clearly defined.
  • Logistics planning A date is set taking into account the availability of staff members. A precise schedule is drawn up to minimise disruption to the company's day-to-day operations.
  • Style advice Guidelines are provided to employees for a suitable dress code, ensuring visual consistency between portraits.

2. Setting up a mobile studio

On the day of the shoot, the photographer sets up a mobile studio directly on the company’s premises. This convenient solution saves employees from having to travel and ensures smooth organisation.

  • Professional equipment The studio is equipped with neutral backdrops, suitable lighting and a high-end camera to ensure sharp, well-lit portraits.
  • Adaptation to space The studio sets up easily in a meeting room or an open space, adapting to the constraints of the location.

3. Photography: a polished portrait for every employee

During the session, the photographer focuses on putting each employee at ease to obtain natural and professional portraits:

  • Personalised direction The photographer guides each person to adopt a posture and an expression that flatter them.
  • Multiple sockets Several shots are taken to guarantee varied options.
  • Detail management Attention paid to clothing adjustments, reflections or lighting for an impeccable finish.

4. Post-session follow-up and image processing

Once the session is over, the post-production phase begins, which is crucial for enhancing the portraits:

  • Sorting photos The photographer selects the best shots for each employee.
  • Minor touch-ups Brightness, contrast and skin corrections for a natural yet polished result.
  • Formatting The images are optimised according to requirements (website, intranet, brochures, etc.).

5. Delivery of the portraits

The process ends with the delivery of the photos to the client:

  • Secure digital gallery The images are accessible via a private link for quick and easy download.
  • File organisation The photos are named and organised for easy integration into the organisational chart or staff directory.

The role of the industrial photographer and the process of producing a photo report for an industrial group.

Reportage photo sur la mise en place d'un vérin

The importance of communication in the industrial world and the mission of an industrial reportage photographer.

In an increasingly image-driven world, industrial companies must look after their visual communication to showcase their products, teams and know-how. An industrial photographer plays a key role in this process by capturing professional images that illustrate the values and expertise of an industrial group. But how exactly does the process of creating an industrial photo shoot for a group's communication unfold?

1. Understanding the group's objectives and identity

The process begins with a meeting between the photographer and the industrial group's communication team. The objective is to understand the messages that the company wishes to convey through the images. Is it to showcase a new production line? Highlight environmental commitment? Or perhaps reinforce the presentation of the teams and talent? This step makes it possible to identify the group's specific needs and define the visual angle of the report.

2. Preparation and scheduling of the report

Once the objectives have been clarified, the photographer, in agreement with the company, plans the shoots. This involves scouting the production locations, the specific areas to be photographed, and coordinating with the teams to organise the photo sessions without disrupting the daily operation of the factory. This may involve photographing machines in action, interactions between employees, or aspects of the working environment that highlight safety and innovation.

3. On-site filming

On the day of the shoot, the photographer goes to the site with all the necessary equipment and PPE to capture images, often in challenging conditions related to industrial lighting. They work discreetly so as not to disturb the teams, whilst capturing key moments that reflect the company's atmosphere, the precision of the work and the group's values. Industrial photography can include employee portraits, photos of production in action, views of the infrastructure and technical details.

4. Post-production and retouching

After shooting, the post-production phase begins. The images are carefully selected and retouched to improve clarity, brightness and the highlighting of important elements. This may include colour adjustment, blemish correction and the integration of the company's brand guidelines. The aim is to obtain photos that are perfectly suited to the group's communication media.

5. Delivery and use of the photos

The finalised photos are then delivered in various formats and resolutions, depending on their use (website, brochures, annual reports, etc.). These images become a key tool for the industrial group's communication, helping to strengthen its brand image, promote its products and services, and showcase its teams and working environment.

Why is an industrial photo report essential?

In the industrial sector, photography is a powerful way to show what goes on behind the scenes. A quality photo report makes complex processes visible, demonstrates technical expertise and humanises the company's image by highlighting the women and men who keep it running. This builds trust with clients, partners, and even future employees.

In conclusion, an industrial photographer does not merely take pictures; they capture the essence of the company and transform it into a powerful visual message that serves the group's communication strategy.

Do you need a corporate portrait?

Why is a corporate portrait important for a business?

Photo portrait corporate

A corporate portrait is much more than just a photo. It reflects the company's identity and values through the faces of its employees. Whether for a website, a LinkedIn profile, or internal and external communication materials, a polished corporate portrait inspires trust, professionalism, and authenticity among clients, partners, and prospects.

Here are some testimonials which confirms the benefit of using a professional for this type of work.

How does the preparation for a corporate portrait take place?

The first step is a discussion with the company to understand its expectations: what style of portrait does it want? A formal, dynamic, or natural look? Next, the location of the shoot is decided, which can take place in a studio, on-site, or in an environment related to the company's activity. Preparation also includes advice on clothing, the attitude to adopt, and how to showcase each person to reflect their personality and role.

What techniques are used to put employees at ease in front of the camera?

Many people do not feel comfortable in front of a camera, and that is normal. My role is to create a relaxed and friendly environment so that everyone feels confident. I often start with informal chats to break the ice. During the shoot, I give clear guidance on postures, expressions and the angles that work best, while encouraging team members to stay natural. Portrait corporate réalisé dans l'entreprise

How long does it take to do a corporate portrait?

The duration depends on the number of people to be photographed and the level of preparation required. On average, an individual portrait takes between 10 and 20 minutes, especially when the setting and lighting are optimised in advance. If working with several colleagues or across different sites, a half-day or full-day may be necessary. The aim is to take the time needed to obtain quality portraits while respecting the company's schedule.

What are the expected results of a successful corporate portrait?

A successful corporate portrait must reflect both the professionalism and the personality of the employee, while blending harmoniously into the company's visual identity. The images must be of high quality, ready to be used across various media: websites, LinkedIn profiles, brochures or presentations. These portraits help to strengthen the company's credibility, humanise the brand and help to create a closer connection with clients and partners.

With meticulous preparation and a personalised approach, each portrait becomes a true asset for the company's communication, highlighting those who bring it to life.

Organising photo and video coverage for a corporate event.

Production of a photo and video report for a corporate event in Paris.

Why choose photo and video coverage for a corporate event?
Photo and video coverage is essential for capturing a corporate event, whether it is a conference, a seminar or a product launch. Photos make it possible to capture key moments, interactions and the general atmosphere, while videos add a lively and immersive dimension. Together, these two mediums offer rich content, ideal for communicating on your social media, your website or in internal materials.

What are the advantages of entrusting photography and video to a single operator?
One of the main benefits is simplified coordination. By having a single operator capable of handling both photography and video, you eliminate the risk of desynchronisation between the two teams. Furthermore, this reduces logistical costs while ensuring visual consistency across photo and video media. This type of service is particularly practical for events where timing is tight and every moment counts.

How does the preparation for a photo and video reportage for a corporate event take place?
Preparation begins with a meeting with the organiser to understand the objectives, the key moments to capture, and the specifics of the event. Next, a site visit is carried out to anticipate camera angles and lighting. Finally, a precise schedule is drawn up, taking into account the run of the event, in order to capture both candid shots and dynamic video sequences.

What types of content can be produced from a photo and video report?
The possibilities are numerous! For the photo section, we can produce portraits, mood shots, and pictures of the highlights. For video, this includes dynamic edits, interviews with speakers, customer testimonials, or even a visual summary of the event. This content is perfect for social media, newsletters, or corporate retrospectives.

What are the challenges of covering a corporate event combining photography and video?
The main challenge is juggling both disciplines while respecting the pace of the event. You need to know how to be quick and versatile: capturing a moment in a photograph, then immediately switching to video without losing the essence of the moment. This requires perfect technical mastery, experience and suitable equipment. With good preparation and a trained eye, it is entirely possible to succeed in this dual mission and deliver high-quality content.

This type of service, which is both flexible and efficient, is particularly suited to companies looking to optimise their budget while obtaining a variety of content for their communications.
